BRAD M. CASHION, CFA

Biography

Mr. Brad Cashion is a Managing Director with The Mentor Group in the Glendale, California, San Diego, California and Orange County, CA offices. He is expert at valuing businesses and all types of securities, as well as intellectual property. In addition, he has completed sales of businesses and financings for reorganizations. Mr. Cashion has counseled many companies regarding fairness opinions, stock options for IPO's, and acquisitions.

A particular expertise of Mr. Cashion is technology and intangible asset analysis, including In-Process-Research and Development for telecommunications, bio-tech and software companies. He has consulted on various buyout transactions of minority interests and advised management on the stock swap ratios in business combinations and stock options. He has completed analyses to comply with Internal Revenue Code Section 482. His experience in the entertainment industry includes valuations of music catalogs, literary copyrights, film libraries, and the persona of well-known personalities.

Mr. Cashion specializes in developing and implementing valuation models for litigation; pre and post bankruptcy plans; tax agency negotiations; mergers and acquisitions; and IPO's. His clients span many industries - from film production companies to health care providers ... from food wholesalers to retailers ... and from manufacturers to airlines. Mr. Cashion has been qualified as an expert witness in numerous courts.

Mr. Cashion has lectured on numerous valuation topics that range from “Maximizing Shareholder Value in Business Transactions” to “The Possible Affects of the Y2K Bug on the Value of a Company”. Prior to working with The Mentor Group, he was a partner with a major investment firm and Executive Vice President of Keystone Financial Services, Inc.
